Apparently, Americans went crazy over this year's World Cup due in their ignorance while people in other parts of the world consider it to be a poor year due to lack of cohesion in the teams. Personally, I don't care for watching soccer, but it's been kind of a busy summer for me anyways. However you may feel about soccer, here's a Deerway ad with Jay Chou in it:
If you're like me and didn't have the time or money to see the start of Jay's "The Era" tour, then you can watch the June 16 episode of "Bai Fen Bai." You can start with part 2 here:

Part 2 doesn't have to do with Jay's concert at all, so you can start around 4:10 with part 2 if you just want to watch the parts about Jay's concert. You can also download the episode at the link provided in the video's description. Jolin Tsai was a guest in the concert, which has started rumors back up again. Jay got Jody Chiang to sing "落雨声"/"Sound of Falling Rain" from the audience, which she wasn't really expecting to be called upon to do. Jay also picked on Eason Chan a bit by starting to sing "淘汰"/"Eliminate" and then changing songs. You can tell that Eason's hair is weird in this picture even though part of it is cut off:
Of course, Jay's outfit for this concert is weird, but then again, what's a MandoPop concert without weird costumes?
Like LeeHom* with his dragon-clef guitar, Jay has a fascination with new toys:
This year, I didn't pay much attention at all to GMA. A-Mei took a lot of awards this year.** I know her album was good because I do actually listen to A-Mei, but there were lots of other good albums out last year and SuperBand did a great job with their first MegaEP. (They have a second one now, but I liked the first better.) I don't think they got enough recognition and a lot of other great artists didn't get recognition. Of course, isn't this the case every year? Enough venting, then. Jay didn't release an album last year, but he gave an award to A-Mei this year:
It's ironic that he wasn't there at all the last couple of times he got awards, but here he is on a year he doesn't get an award. It's funny how he keeps A-Mei in suspense:

He didn't seem to mind that he wasn't there to get an award:
If you haven't seen the trailer for "The Green Hornet" yet, then you need to go watch the trailer on YouTube. XD Here are some pictures from the movie:
The real reason Jay wanted to be in this movie is because he's obsessed with cars! He gets a lot of driving scenes in this. (He also gets to blow up the red light camera, LOL!)
Really random photo from a press conference because I found it funny:

* I really do have LeeHom on the brain today. I dreamed I got a free ticket to one of his concerts last night.
** In case you haven't listened to A-Mei's "Amit," you can download it from Amazon
here. The 9th track is interesting because it's sung in Puyuma, which is A-Mei's tribal language. The 4th track was written by sodagreen's Qingfeng, so don't miss that one, either. Track 7 won "Song of the Year" and is in Hokkien.
