Gary Yang's Solo Debut
Sorry to everyone for not responding to stuff the last few days. Weekends are very busy and I've had technical difficulties, as well. :P
My YesAsia order came in this weekend, though, and I've uploaded Gary Yang's album "A Love Letter," which you can download here. I'm too lazy to cut and paste the tracklist from the file names, so you can check it out on YesAsia. (I switched the language to Simplified Chinese on YesAsia and got the tracklist to change to match the rest of this post.) Gary was one of the original members of Nan Quan Mama and wrote a bunch of their later songs, too, such as "牡丹江" and "悄悄告诉她." He doesn't have the best voice, but he did write all of the music and also the lyrics to quite a few songs on this album, and he did a lot more (since he works recording Jay's songs). The songs vary in style, so there's some salsa in the first track (see sample below), but the rest is mostly rock and ballads. Track 4 ("月光") is a duet with Jay Chou.
