I'm sure lots of people have heard about "One Million Star" by now. The first season's competitors ranked pretty high on the charts last year (though not as high as Jay Chou or Mayday, both of which were #1 depending on which sales chart you looked at). There's one singer who appeared on the show but didn't compete and whose album also ranked high on the charts. Half Amis, half Han, Jam Hsiao has wonderful vocals. He can hit some really high notes, as you can tell from his rendition of Jay Chou's "霍元甲":

Jam's voice is simply awesome, and he got some well-known artists to help him out on his album. Real (FIR), Qingfeng (sodagreen), Ashin (Mayday), and Gary Cao all helped write songs for his debut album.
I'm not sure why I originally bought this. I know I knew that Qingfeng and Ashin had written songs for this album, but I'm not sure how much of Jam's singing I'd listened to when I ordered my copy. I'm glad I did buy it, though. I've gotten a lot of listens out of the songs on it and Jam has powerful vocals. You can download the album
