Sodagreen - New album and single
I know I've already uploaded their "Little Universe" album, which you can find here, but I got their new album last week. You can find the pictures I took of the "sodazine" and album covers I took in a fangirly moment here.
For the new album, the band went for a "spring" feeling, so the title is "Spring. Sunlight." This is part of their "Project Vivaldi" (named for the composer of "The Four Seasons") which is an idea they came up with when they made "四季狂想," but now they're going to continue this project for two years:
Taidung - Spring
London - Summer
Beijing - Fall
Berlin - Winter
Each city also has a set of artists that represent each season, but I'll need to ponder over the Chinese names before I can list them all. I'm apparently not too familiar with Taidung's artists, but I can figure out that one of the names is Hu De Fu, who is Kimbo and apparently aboriginal Taiwanese. London's artists are in English: The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Who, Deep Purple, Radiohead, Oasis, Blur, and Coldplay. For Beijing, I recognize Cui Jian and Tang Dynasty. I can recognize Bach for Berlin. Yes, the classical musician.
"Spring. Daylight" is a cheerful album with lyrics about what sodagreen connects with spring: Dreamland, fountains, beauty, life, and flowers. There are French lyrics in there, too. The preorder version also comes with the single for "Daylight," which has four versions of the song with different instrumentals. YesAsia should still have this version in stock. I was able to buy it even a while after the release date for the album.
