Song Zuying News Update

May 21, 2009 13:21

If you haven't seen this entry yet, it's very important that you read it before you dive into this one.  To sum it up, it's about how Jay Chou has written a song for Song Zuying, who has a concert in the Bird's Nest Stadium coming up in about a month.

According to this article, Jay will be a guest in the concert.  He will be dancing, and Song Zuying will also be dancing with him.  She has not danced before, so it'll be interesting to see how this turns out.  (I'm hoping that there are fans who will post clips to streaming sites such as YouTube.  Not just for the dancing, but also for the new song.  It would make sense for her to sing her new song at the concert, right?)

The article mentions how Zuying "sings better than she talks."  Apparently, "she doesn't know where her next word is."  I'm assuming this means that she stutters a bit, but this is a really interesting way of putting it!  She gets nervous and she's clumsy in her speech, but then again, hasn't Jay been the exact same way?  In his first concerts, he was always very nervous, and he still sticks in things like "uh" in when he doesn't know what to say, or, I suppose, "where his next word is."

Now, at least, Song Zuying's concert has a name.  "魅力·中国," the first part meaning "charm" or "glamor" and the second part meaning "China."  "Charm. China" is a cute name for a concert.  Besides Jay Chou, Plácido Domingo (with whom Zuying sang a duet for the Closing Ceremony of the Olympics last year, also in the Bird's Nest) and Chinese pianist Lang Lang will be guests in the concert.
