I find it rather amusing that Piro's latest rant is about "comfort anime", since that's pretty much what Megatokyo has evolved into for me. He's had to pound a lot of characters, situations and concepts into shape, but it's finally starting to seem like the introduction is over. It will never, alas, be the same megatokyo, but it's finally picking up some of the speed it lost when Largo left.
Right, let's put this in logical order:
1) Megatokyo starts. Very random, very awesome.
2) Story starts creeping in.
3) Largo and Piro fall out formally, and Piro forges on alone.
4) Pacing takes a nosedive as Piro starts mashing things into shape.
5) The mashing done, Megatokyo picks up again.
You know it's getting late when you accidentally put in two 4's at first.
