Duude. Jealousy to whoever wins the auction.
Aanyways, Finnish lessons so far are a bit frustrating. It's been pretty much exactly the same as I remember Finnish language school from before, mostly basic vocabulary and conversation. I came here to learn grammar! I want to actually know how to speak Finnish, not just how to parrot back sentences with the proper pronunciation. I'm supposed to be in the intermediate class, and it feels like the beginner's class is making more progress. They (and I can't believe I'm jealous about this) get to conjugate verbs, and do the "ma olen" "sinä olet" "te olette" etc. that I was expecting to get into right away. And just the pace is so slow, spending fifteen minutes explaining directions, when all you really need to say is pohjoinen is north, etelä is south, itä is east and...something is west. Fine, I can't remember them. But it's hard to memorize things like that when you have no sentences to put them in!
We talked to the teacher about this, and she got her feelings hurt! I do feel bad about that. But it's a bit hard to be sympathetic when everything is so slow and frustrating.
