[The view when his Gear turns on is shaky because it's not being held by Chloe. In fact, judging by how he's stretched out under a tree, shirt half-unbuttoned and hair messily around his eyes, he has no idea it's even on. Whatever Pokemon is holding it moves closer when Chloe's mouth opens.]Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy ( Read more... )

Beak, possibly. Raptors are clever things.

[I think owls are raptors. Eh.]

Raptors, yes, but owls aren't that closely related to hawks or falcons.

Even if they were, I don't think Pokémon are similar. It looks like she did it with her foot.

So ornithology isn't a specialty of mine.

[You can't see it, but he shrugged.]

Now why don't you think they're similar? The outlandish ones I understand, but the others, less so.

Because from what I've seen people mentioning, they can breed with different species, which could never happen at home.

Because it isn't real. But they're still very clearly based on actual animals. Which does count as a relation in my book.

I have heard of professors living in this world, but if they're like the rest of the natives, I sincerely doubt they'll be of much help.

I was thinking of non-native researchers.

I can't think that'd be an easy undertaking for a visitor. Wouldn't have any of the normal scientific paraphernalia. CAT scans and x-rays and the like. Would just be limited to sitting and watching, perhaps writing things down.

That's what plenty of biologists did before science advanced and they learned plenty that way.

Have fun.

Go ahead and tell Ken what you learn. That way, I can just get the abridged, slightly inaccurate version from him.

Even if I did focus on that, why would I tell Ken?

Better him than me.

[At that, he huffs and turns the Gear off. Chloe's not in a good mood today, sorry.]
