Dan thanks for the recognition, it would have been nice if you had said I was even graduating. Particularly after the discussion when i left if I should come and you said you'd be happy to have me come and be part. I am not a three year senior or anything. Its alright though the night was pretty cool and I liked the video well enough.
I got zero recognition at the orchestra banquet.
I got about a million "awards" for existing - he gives awards to everyone who makes all-state, sits first chair, etc.
But I'm orchestra president and probably did more for the program than anyone else. I forced the officers to meet once a week, organized the movie night and the homecoming float, worked very, very hard on the banquet. I've been first chair in the top orchestra since I was a freshman. I was the best senior musician - by far. I'm not trying to be conceited, but it's a fact, and everyone expected me to win most outstanding senior, seeing as I was most outstanding freshman, sophomore, and junior.
But someone else got that award, and someone else got student of the year, and a sophomore got most outstanding musician.
So probably, as it turns out, those awards actually meant "best supporter of everything mr. simpson said or did this year."

And I hope you do too, knowing that you're not the only one who didn't get the recognition due him. Hey - even Russell Crowe didn't get the Oscar for A Beautiful Mind.
This is the most important.
This is going to sound cheesy, but if it means anything to you at all, just know that to me, you and Blaine ARE the crew team at Winter Park High School. You guys deserve the world and more. I'm proud to know both of you, and I mean that.
