Birds...

The past few weeks and months have been both difficult and busy. Am currently in the process of doing 9 straight days of Uni/work without a break and it's knackering me out.

Shows have started up again now; the birds seem to be much happier for it. Love seeing them all fly; even if they don't do so well sometimes. We got a circuit out of the ( Read more... )

Well sorry to hear that uni is dragging you down, always sucks for sure when it does that. You will be a much better lass for it when you are all through. Like I mentioned before I know you will go were ever you put yer mind and heart to. You have that drive that many other s I have known have had that is not common to the average person. It is a good thing ( ... )

Indeed. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's interesting stuff. But we have one lecturer that just...UGH. So. Very. Boring. One time, she was explaining how to do this particular calculation (It took her 30 MINUTES) when it was written EXACTLY how to do it on a help sheet. I completed the sheet in 5 minutes while she was mumbling on and got on with another assignment. She's such a time waster. Ugh ( ... )

Yup I hear yeah can be interesting indeed but yup some profs and lecturers can over-complicate things for themselves very quickly. I have had this same experience in the past with some of the ones I had in school. As you say you just do it yerself and get on with other things. Yup some will do that, I have had some that have totally forgotten what they were doing. That is really interesting. Then you the student have to get them back on track ( ... )

Ugh, yeah. It's such a pain. Repeating when the class doesn't understand is one thing; repeating when only ONE person doesn't understand is another. Just explain it to them after the lecture and stop wasting everyone else's time. Ugh I could rant about that woman all day. :/

Great horns are awesome. The one we have is probably one of the best owls in the centre; it's always a pleasure to fly him!

Yeah, making yourself look bigger is a commonly used technique in the animal kingdom. All owls can puff themselves up and do a threat display similar to this: http://cdn2.arkive.org/media/9B/9BCE8C7B-6188-475B-ADD5-DC9A193853DA/Presentation.Large/Short-eared-owl-in-threat-display.jpg (Or just google 'owl threat display' and you'll see lots of other photos).

Have a lovely day too!

Indeed. Been there and had this done to me as well. It wastes way to much time. The smart proffs do just that or we had a program in one of the buildings on campus where students could go after hours and get help from fellow students who knew the material. It made things so much nicer and saved wasted time in class. I understand how you feel it does drive one nutters.

Truly they are. Aw man that is too cool! Nice when they are friendly and well behaved. I really want to figure out a way to come and see you, you sound like you are having a blast, plus it would be fun to just hang with such an awesome lass such as you! Am i allowed?

Truly it is a common display, bigger is better as they say and scarier. This is cool thank you for showing me.Will do I love leaning new things about animals.

Thank you very much.

May life be you friend and may you have a wonderful evening. Friendly hugs to ya!
