Been on a real traditional art kick, lately.
Finished an art trade piece of Typhlosion and a picture of Dakarai (Both of which I need to scan and upload) and I have two more traditional pieces to go! :D
Here's a couple of ACEOs I did in the past couple of days:

Thank you! <3 The fur...detail-ness (lol) is on a separate layer, and I faffed around with the settings of these brushes: http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c297/DarkCerberus/BrushesNShit.png (Same brush, different sizes. XD)
LOL What's reverse shading? Is that adding the shading on top of your fuzzydetails? o: And gee, WOW. That fur looks just...wooooowww. Gorgeous. <3 (I spy a Beccat! 8D Also...lol @ your layer names. XDD)
And...I don't know! D: Is it something to do with my journal settings? D: I'll have a look around and see, lol. 8D;

Haha! Obviously you want it at a small size, but I used the default 14 because it worked SO well for thick fur. XD; I think I need to add some more highlights, though. New layer tiemz! 8D;
OH that is SO COOL. And all this time I've been making new layers to add shading on top, lawl. 8D Fjakdj do you mind if I try that technique out? o: Although, I doubt I'll make it look as awesome as you do. XD;
It's all paragraph'd now, yay! 8D No idea what happened there, LOL.

YESS I bet! You started big and dark and went smaller and brighter? With a higher opacity?
NO definitely give it a shot! that's how Shin and Sky and all those people do their shading, and while I prefer colorsmudge shading, I really like using it for fur! I'd LOVE to see what you could do with it!
YES I think it's my shifty-eyes face. It mucks with the HTML coding for some reason lolololol <3333

Yup! Although the layer at the bottom is like...well I did the flats and slapped on some rough shading to act as a 'guide'; all with a big round brush. XD That's the only layer I didn't use that brush for. *nodnod* (And also, my SUPER BRIGHT highlights are on 100% Opacity and a separate layer. c: )
Ohohoh! I never knew that! o: Hmmhmm I'll try it out tomorrow, methinks! Haha, I'm just like you; I prefer different shading techniques for different textures. XD
...lawl, it detects that you're being shifty and it disapproves? :B
