And most don't.
God, it's so hard to work on things these days. You'd think with all the free time I have right now. But no, I always forget or get distracted.
Taking a short break from my second DA playthrough. I was so fucking disappointed when I found out that apparently if I bed Isabela, I can't romance Fenris. That? Sucks.
Damn them. Can't let me have my cake and eat it too.
But at least this time around I secured her, so she won't run off on me during the second act.
I have been either laughing my ass off or shaking my head at the way writers, professional and amateur alike, in terms of Japanese fandom, handle illness or injuries. Seriously, what the hell is with all those characters who get sick from sitting in the rain? I wasn't aware germs worked that way. Maybe they just have really shitty constitutions. When I was a kid, my siblings and I would play in the rain for hours. Hell, we would roll around like dogs in the puddles on the side of the street. We'd get so soaked you'd think someone shoved us into a pool. And did we get sick?
The answer is no, no, we did not.
And then injuries. If you take a hit to the head hard enough to fracture your fucking skull, doubled with a nasty concussion, you are down for the count. You don't wake up a few hours later and sit up like you were just taking a nap, and then start conversing and moving around like you're perfectly fine. Because no, you are not fine at all.
Also, why do people think getting shot in the shoulder is so easy to recover from? Did you forget about all those lovely bones in your shoulder region that can seriously fuck you up? It seems like anytime it happens in manga or fandom, the biggest issue is the bleeding, and otherwise they're okay. Really, people? Do you know what happens if you get shot there? You have your collarbone, your shoulder joint, and oh yeah, your fucking shoulder blade. And also potentially your rib cage, if the bullet ricochets, which oh yeah, includes your squishy lungs. That is a fucking serious injury, treat it like so.
Sorry, I just can't help myself when I see these things. It's why I'll never join fanfic_rants. I can't stand the stupid things I find, I'd go nuts reading all the other stupid things other people find.
Not that this is anywhere close to the stupidest things I've found.
Rounding off, some PSYCHOSIS Conversion.
Levi is the main character of the series. Twenty-five years old, he moved to Lotti's city eight years ago looking to start a new life. He came to the wrong place. After learning of the strange degradation of the populace's mental conditions and the existence of the Crazed, as well as the many strange and tragic deaths and occurrences that often take place, he dedicated himself to uncovering the mysteries behind these circumstances, hunting down scenes and people connected to them. He's a curious and ambitious individual, and his strong sense of perseverance allows him to work through the gruesome horrors his work often leads him to.
Lotti is one of the Crazed, and 'rules' the city. Murderous, dangerous, and utterly without logic, she roams about killing anyone unfortunate to be caught in her sight. When not rampaging, she lurks in high places and is rarely seen when not actively attacking. She claims to love Kale, but also desires nothing more than his brutal and violent death at her hands. Despite this, she does not seek confrontation with him, content to remain in her city, reeking havoc and destruction on its citizens instead. No one is sure why she, or Kale for that matter, have made the two cities their domains.
Kale ('call') is the other Crazed, and rules the neighboring city to Lotti's. Like his counterpart, he too spreads death wherever he goes and is otherwise not seen. He also wants to kill her, but again, does not seek her out. In a rare encounter, in which he was passive, he actually mentions to Levi that something is lacking between he and Lotti, and prevents them from drawing their battle to a close. The Crazed do not generally show much coherence when not together, and rarely announce themselves or speak at all, aside from the occasional cryptic comment.
Though these three are the major characters of the series, only Levi is actively seen, as the Crazed usually lurk in the background. Their tendency to leave no survivors and keep out of sight when not hunting means most of the people don't even know what they look like.
As for the other characters, there are so many it's hard to get them all down. Susie, Devin, Jessie, Ethan, and Raz, some of the more recurring ones, have tentative designs, of which only Raz's is fairly worked out, which is funny, because he also shows up very little. Most of the other characters are involved in 'arcs' that revolve around different incidents.
I...will be very sad coming up with all their designs.
