We move tomorrow, so picture time!
So here was my room overall. Lots of stuff, right? And look: it was clean!
This was the desk for my loft. This is where I spend most of my day (and life). Again, lots of junk. Sketchbooks, knickknacks, etc. It's cozy under there.
My shelves, which you've seen before. Most of my games are in my ottoman (see box in the corner in the first picture), and most of my anime DVDs are in my closet (as well as my more incriminating mangas), but still lots of movies, LOTS of manga, lots of mugs, and a bunch of other stuff.
And my bookcases. Again, more manga! As well as my figures and collected Jones bottles and JP Dr. Pepper cans. And stuff.
That was fun right? So yeah, that's how my room was. Mind you, there was lots of shit in the closet (you can see a glimpse in the first picture), and I moved some of my stuff into the spare room downstairs (yes, you guessed it: MORE manga) like my dresser and things I don't use very often. How the hell do I own so much shit? If my house ever caught fire, I would be a VERY sad lady.
Now here's the after!:
Look how sad and empty my room is now! I barely recognize it. The few things remaining are just essentials and some things to keep me entertained until tomorrow.
It's my bed! I haven't slept this close to the floor in years! (minus the occasions I slept in hotels or such on vacations) A lot of my plushies are boxed up, except for Kerori (the giant-headed frog) and Dr. Maul (he couldn't fit in the box). It was kinda cool to just sleep on the floor like this, except that my brother, the freak that he is, kept dive bombing in in the morning and screwing around with me and my pillows and such. He was deterred for the longest time by my loft, so I guess he's making up for it.
I cannot remember the last time I saw my shelves this empty. It's...scary, almost. My TV now longer has it's box, so it remains unpacked, with my Xbox for something to do. As for the cork board, well, it's going to be moved seperately like my TV, because a) I don't want to remove all the pins and keychains on it, and b) I don't want to lose any of them.
And lastly, my bookcase. The little one is already moved downstairs, but the big on I didn't feel like bothering with until tomorrow. No more tree print on the wall, no more books, or figures, or anything. It's not as weird as I thought it be. Well, not for me, anyway. Everyone else peeks in and freaks out.
So tomorrow we move, and I'll be taking more before and after pictures of my new apartment. Until then!
