Attention UK fanfic writers
Just so you know, Americans do not as a rule use the expression, "What are you on about?" To my knowledge, this is not a commonly used expression anywhere in North America.
The reason I mention it is that I have just read my third SGA fanfic today in which a writer from the UK has an American character saying this to someone. Yes, we heard Carson say it in Common Ground. He's Scottish. It makes sense.
Sheppard would never say it. Neither would Lorne. I'm quite sure that Rodney wouldn't, either. I'm pretty sure I've heard him use our equivalent expression, "What are you talking about?" in canon.
That's all I wanted. Go back to what you were doing.
