Gave blood
Woo... gave blood about an hour ago. Just rode a couple miles on my bike. Is it me or is the room slightly tilted?
Ah, met some of the the atheist group on campus. Or, *ahem* Rationalists and Free Thinkers (RAFT). Pretty cool people it seemed. A sort of intellectual and irreverent sort, not nearly so much obnoxious and argumentative as I had feared. Seem like cool people.
Ambushed classmate asking her questions about retinal bipolar cells... questions went over her head. Kinda felt like I ambushed her... But, really, how the hell is putting GABA initiated chloride channel on a bipolar cell going to help anything? If those bipolar cells really outlive the death of their photo-receptors, I'd imagine that they'd have to also lose their Glutamate inhibited sodium channels or they'd die of overstimulation. Oh well, she didn't know, guess I'll have to go digging online. Why do I seem to know more neuroscience than a number of neuroscience grad students?
Gotta run back over to the East side for a neuroscience review in a few minutes. Wish me luck!
