10-day meme, Day 3
Meant to post this yesterday, but when I got back from my seminar, we had a magnificent thunderstorm going - these fantastic lightening streaks hitting the earth over and over, thunder so loud the building actually shook a few times. And an absolute downpour for over an hour. We needed the rain, thanks.
So, Day Three: Eight qualities you think are awesome in other people.
1. Civility - a quality we desperately need more of, everywhere, from online to our politicians.
2. Tolerance of others' beliefs and opinions - freedom of speech/religion means extending the same courtesy to others, that they have the right to say and believe and act as they want, not just that you have the right to state your opinions and force others to believe/follow them.
3. Courage - to do, and be, whatever you want.
4. Personal sense of style - I admire anyone and everyone who wears/does what they want, not what the flavor of the month dictates they should do.
5. Openness to new ideas - Otherwise we all get stale.
6. Sense of humor - because a laugh lightens up everyone's day.
7. Creativity - from drawing to writing to simply baking a new type of cookie.
8. Patience - another quality needed sorely in the world. Impatience seems to be the new norm.
