Concert For Compassion: A Benefit For Animal Cruelty
So Sunday March 28, 2003 I went to the Compassion Fest with Randy, Jessica and Jackie. It was fun. It was nothing what I expected it to be which made it funner. So it's six in the morning and I wake up and I take a shower and tell my parents I am leaving for the day. They didnt hear me but they knew I was going to a show today. So I go pick up Randy and we go to Jackie's house were Jessica is going to be there. So we get there and Jackie still isnt ready so Christa was our entertainment with her waterfall hair do. So Jessica gets there and then Jackie is done getting ready so we decide to get breakfast because this show is all day and its a benefit for animal cruelty so there is going to be a lot of vegan shit there for sale and we want meat. LoL. So we drive up to McDonalds at 8 and Randy orders french fries, LoL, they were all we dont have french fries at the hour so I was all NO THANKS! and I backed out of the drive thru LoL. So we get on the freeway and we were looking for the 55 North but all we saw was the 55 South and so I was all I will just keep driving because maybe it will be up here more LoL NOT! So we get off the freeway and go back North and low and behold the 55 North is on the North side of the 5 and the 55 South is on the South side of the 5. So we get on the 55 North and exit like we were suppossed to. So we get off and we drive and it says to pass the lake. So we pass the lake and nothing, we keep going more and still nothing. Well, we were following these freaks who were going to the same show and like they stop and make a U-eeee so I kept going I was all NO THEY DONT KNOW WHERE THEY ARE GOING!! Well the whole time we are driving through this hill, there was like a bicycle run and so finally after hearing Jessica yelling HORSEYS!! the whole way I flipped the damn U-eeee and ask someone where the Oak Canyon Ranch is. The guy we asked didnt know and some serial killer looking guy helped us and he has an australian accent so the whole way back to the lake we were talking like him and making fun of the way he talks even though we all wished we talked like that LoL it was great. So we get there and we see the singer from A Static Lullaby pull up and I knew it was him but I wasnt sure cuz he was just there chillin with his girlfriend in the car. I knew it was him when he started singing. These two chicks who had no idea who he was were cussing at him cuz they were sitting on the ground where he wanted to park. Well it took like an hour to get everyone in so we decided to just wait in line after standing waiting for it to go down for about an hour LoL so we get in and we hit the bathrooms up before everyone else does. So we find ourselves a picnic table and everyone else had to sit on the grass and dirt and leaves. So we chilled at the table the whole day listening to some of the greatest bands. I went out there in the crowd for Story of The Year and The Used. They both put really good shows on. Well since I wrote a whole book I am going to go now. I am glad that this was a fun day. It's been a while since a fun day left me in a happy mood until even the day after. Later.
