Alex of Clazziquai: My Vintage Romance
After a loooooong wait, it's finally out! Everytime Clazziquai releases an album, I always look for that one Alex song that will make my heart melt. This is just pure <333 sarang~~~ In his first solo album, 'My Vintage Romance,' he came out from the lounge/house shell to showcase what he does best - vocal power and soothing rhythms. I've been listening to it for a week now. I even started Alex's Thread on Soompi ahihihihi ^^
Eoneuse
- This is a good intro for the album since it projects Alex's vocals in its purest form accompanied
only by a guitar. As it progresses, it reveals a different character to Alex's voice.
Geudaeramyeon
- The Korean Series material. That part where the hero and heroine sees each other again after a long time. Staring at each other from afar and walking towards each other ending in a longing embrace. Ulk!
Neon Eonjena
- OhEmGee! At first I thought it was a country song with the lazy guitar sound. But I'm just glad that as the track goes towards the chorus, it give this sweet melody. It reminds me a lot of Wang Lee Hom's songs. Think Ai De Jiu Shi Ni. Oh well, Alex and Alexander! Greatness~
Sorry You Had to Wait
- Gary Valenciano? No no... an 80s ballad like 'True' No no~ something more accurate... OK. Jose Mari Chan
Tears That Wet The Tip of My Toes
- I guess it's my least favorite. I can't relate much to it.
Feel Like Making Sunshine
- Danceable Happy Song. It brings hearts and hearts of smiles like a 70s hustle song. Everybody loves the retro.
Empty Shell
- Gnarles Barkley. I like the crisp rapping of Gaeko
Waltz Lesson
- High notes high notes. Laughing while singing at 2:00~~ I don't know why. A pure lullaby song.
Lover
- My fave of all tracks. Loveholic-like track. It's gray.
I Love You
- I like the intro of the song then it changed to something else. I just hope it retained the initial flow like it's
Bittersweet Symphony.
A Good Day
- this sounds like an Anime song. You know, like the morning after the long battle. Nice, joyous guitar work here.
Daydreaming
- This is the most jazzy track of all. It conveys a slow moving, hopeful emotion.
Miss Understand
- Chill lounge. Fresh to the ear, at least for me.
Daisy
- My 3rd fave song. It feels like standing in the rain under an umbrella. Geez I can't explain it.
Flowerpot
- Need I say more. Loveholic rocks! I failed singing this with Jisun's high notes version.
