What did I do fall of senior year? I don't remember it.
Anyway, to the point:
My two least favorite days of the year are most people's favorite days: my birthday and Christmas. Both involve a family dinner with Mom, Dad, Matt, Vicki, Shannon, Mark, Papa, Heather, and the other Matt (and occasionally Mike and Glenda, but you don't care). That's great. My family is a ton of fun. Who else do you know who actually looks forward to yearly family reunions? Anyway, there always comes a point when I hit the two most uncomfortable points of the year. I hate recieving gifts. HATE it. It's honestly the meanest thing you can do to me. The quickest way to make me hate myself is to give me a present or a compliment. So, you can see how this may come to a head on these days. Our family opens presents on Christmas one at a time, so there's no avoiding being stared at by everyone while you're doing it, either. This post is unorganized. People are clapping downstairs. I hate gifts. The end? I think so.
In conclusion, Christmas makes me nervous, and I am not looking forward to it. I wish gifts weren't a tradition; that the entire day actually revolved around Jesus. That would be A-OK. I had to go to church alone last year and sit with my band director because no one went with me. Lame? Fo sho.
