blee blee blahhhhhh....
I'm kind of bored right now... I know there are things I should be doing (like vacuuming or cleaning the bathroom), but, my arms hurt... I am trying to get back to my exercise routine so I can fit into the beautiful dress that my sister generously helped me buy from the expensive boutique she works at, with her discount and all, it was a steal... like my Seven jeans that only cost me $20.00!!!!
Anyways, the dress is for scarletravynn and michaelsproject wedding. I was also supposed to wear the dress to a friends reception, but, ended up not going to it. Being "stuck" on a boat in the middle of the Lake for 3 hours proved to be just a bit too scary - especially since I wouldn't have known hardly anyone (which isn't usually a problem for me)...
I will DEFINITELY be at the wedding on the 24th though... come hell or high water!! Plus, it turns out that I already HAVE shoes that gypsyariana told me are totally IN right now - T-strap sandals! Wheee!! I've had those shoes for YEARS so I am wayyyyy ahead of my time. They are almost brand new too - I think I've only worn them, like twice, but, they are dusty and will need to be cleaned. I'm hoping the heel isn't too high though. I don't wear really high heels anymore - unless they are on boots. We're very, very excited about coming down to ATL for this!!! Only a couple of weeks more!
There was an article in the paper this morning about how carbon dioxide is causing poison ivy to grow more!!! I certainly can attest that SOMETHING is making the poison ivy in my dog yard grow and grow and grow!! I have never SEEN so many poison ivy plants!! I killed a ton of it at the beginning of May (and caught it to, darn it all) and now it has moved to another area of the yard and I've had to spray it TWICE. This "new" ivy seems to be way more aggressive and already has vines and everything - rather thick vines too!
Luckily, I'm not extremely allergic, although, I certainly don't want to find out! But, my doggies stay in that yard a lot and I am always hugging and kissing on them. I've had to put them in their kennel today so the roundup has time to dry and not hurt my babies.
I bought a Fuchia hanging plant today, which I love, love, love... I had the most beautiful fuchia plant I have ever seen when I lived in New York and I've tried to get one just like it ever since. I didn't realize they needed full sun, but, at least it is still in the backyard area that I fixed up with a swing. Fingers crossed that I won't kill it before it's time... so far, the azaleas that I planted are thriving... I've got all sorts of plans to plant stuff in my natural areas in the back too... Truthfully though, I really wish I could afford tons of pine needle bales and just pine needle the areas with nice little borders... my backyard is one big weed bin (no poison ivy on "our" side of the yard though!!)
My neighbor's have made their dog kennel using part of our privacy fence - not sure if I mentioned this on another update... whatever. So far, we haven't said anything to them about it. Our fence is actually a foot off the property line - we did that just so NO ONE could use the fence as their own, or for a dog kennel. But, these neighbors didn't bother to ask us if it would be alright. The other day, we peeked over the fence and saw at LEAST five containers of water in the little "kennel" - although the dog hasn't been in there in awhile (thank goodness cause all it does is bark) Yesterday Russ peeked over the fence again and now the water containers are a massive breeding ground for mosquitos! I know we need to say something, but, I am totally terrified of any confrontation - even though there shouldn't be one. Russ needs to do it.
I guess I'm going to have go to the West Coast alone... if I can even afford it. Russ has booked gigs all through July and most of August already... I don't mind flying alone and I want to see my sister and brother-in-law... but, the expense when I'm not working... I can't find a flight under $500.00 darn it all. My Mom is flying out there for 6 weeks! She is soooo looking forward to it, I know. She has been doing just fine since my Dad passed away. She has moved into his old room and had new carpet installed and the walls painted. She has loads of pictures of my Dad in there, of course, and when I went to visit her, I started crying when I saw them... I miss my Dad.. I still can't believe he is gone...
My sister told me that she found an old video where Dad has a video camera and is taking pictures of their property in Stevenson. She said he isn't in the video, but, it's him talking... I have a video somewhere of when Amber went to visit them on the West Coast and they explored all the waterfalls around the area. I'm pretty sure Dad is in that one and also taking the video. I'm not sure I can watch it right now, but, I'm going to find it.
I had to send a certified letter to my stupid work to make them do their damn job and send me the withdrawal papers for my 401K. THEN, I blocked them from two of my most used email addresses so they can't contact me that way. I am sooooo close to being done with them! If I never see any of those jackals again, it will be wayyy too soon!
Well, I'm all vented out... I really want to go to Barnes & Nobles and buy the newest book in this vampire series that I am reading... but, it's too hot and I'm too lazy!! heeheehee
