The X-Files: I Want To Believe

I just seen it with my dad and my aunt. It was great. I hope it does well so they can make some more! This movie caps off my X-Files frenzy I have been on. I watched the entire series on DVD and finished the last episode on Wednesday. Now I feel a sense of loss. The film was great, but I have this to say: When I went to John and Joi's wedding, I hadn't seen them in a few years. It was strange. I didn't have time to really get to know them again. They looked a little different. This is the exact same way I felt about seeing the X-Files. It was Mulder & Scully, but we didn't get a chance to get to know them again. The best scenes in the film were the ones when they were together. That is all they need. Those two actors work so well together, that actually nothing else is needed. In fact, with the exception of a little help from A.D. Skinner, there is nothing to remind you are watching the X-Files. It is the Mulder & Scully show.

By the way, this film is very different from what you would expect. There are no aliens, no conspiracies, no smoking man, no Doggett or Reyes, no badges, and no guns. Scully is a doctor working for a hospital called, "Our Lady of Sorrows", and Mulder it seems, is just a bum. In spite of all that, it's still a great movie.
