I also managed to get my hands this:
A 2-disc set of all of Liza's early recordings for Capitol records. These songs have been digitally remastered and sound absolutely wonderful. It was arranged by Peter Matz, who also arranged all of Barbra Streisand's early recordings, so there are definite similarities, but Liza is much more spontaneous and lively in her recordings. If you are into lounge music (a la Dino, or Frank Sinatra), I wholeheartedly recommend picking this CD up. I had to special order mine, so it might take some time (wow, it rhymes).
Also picked up:
It sounds exactly as one would expect. There are world fusion songs with only a limited amount of techno, which sucks, but it still creates quite an atmosphere. I haven't watched the DVD yet, but am prepared for a great experience. These Buddha Bar CDs should get an experienced techno DJ to mix their newest CD. I would LOVE to hear a Buddha-Bar remixed CD! Hint hint!!! This still is a good starter CD for all of those wanting to get involved with the Buddha-Bar franchise. Highly recommended. Not as bland as some of the newer Buddha-Bar CDs.
