There's a raging feud over at the Startrek.com message boards about whether Battlestar Galactica is truly sci-fi or not. Of course, the Battlestar fans have become incensed and resort to acting like the cult-like obsessed whackjobs that they are. I don't get it. On the fucking official Star Trek boards, you have the Trekkers acting all calm and cool, and then you have the BG fans acting like total idiots. It's like BG has become their religion and they are preaching it and defending it like a weekday Christer/weekend whore.
I'm still pissed off about that magazine article that I put a link to on the community and got holy shit about spoilers. These BG whackjobs Tivo or download these shows and watch them frame by frame searching for any little hint about who's a cylon, who's gonna die, or what is to come. Yet, I post a link with possible spoilers and I get kicked at! Insanity! I've come to the conclusion that a lot of the BG fans are immature assholes. That's why there is no science officers in the show -- it makes people think! In BG all you do is blow things up with missles, or machine guns, and then use your religion to find Earth!
Even though I'm pissed, I still love the show. I think this just has me missing Star Trek. At this point, I'll even take new episodes of Enterprise.
