Admittedly not the best conversation we've ever had, but this just reminded me how much I've missed our pointless tete-a-tetes. We don't even have to talk that much or say anything, but just knowing that I have someone that I can talk to about stuff with and not even have to ask "okay, so what does that have to do with anything?" or "um, that was random!" is one of the best feelings in the world. We never have to ask how the other one is feeling because we just know. Perfectly content to do the same routine things (watch a movie, discuss cinematography, play Mario Party), yet willing to do something new (walk the dog in the snow and pretend to be out carolling when we reach the Patwell's house by singing Good King Wenceslas when they answer the door). Talking about anything and everything (Capitalism in China, proper couch angles, awesome tracking shots, being depressed, wheat pasta). The understanding that we are always playing the "who's listening to the better song?" game. I live for this stuff. Hetero-life mates is an understatement. ♥
