2007 Resolutions:
* Get myself into better shape.
* Draft a full novel.
* Save 5k worth of money in my savings account.
* See Matthew again.
* Plan me and Matty's wedding. ♥
* Get back into school.
Wow. Out of six resolutions I only managed to get one completed this entire, shitty year. What a year it has been. I found a full time job which, as implied, takes up most of my time. It's an okay job that pays pretty well, but I still don't like it very much. There are many jobs out there which are far, far worse, but I have trouble handling the stress sometimes.
I failed in getting Matthew down here for the end of this year. I failed getting myself back into school, hampered of course by said stressful job. I was given an offer for free schooling way back in february but I had to decline it. I certainly have not been able to get myself into any semblance of better fittness, and that includes a failed gym attempt. There was not enough time.
I... um... spent the hobby part of this year working on Siren's Way and Turned On instead of any official novel, but I did write a short original story or three here and there in the middle of the year. I guess that wasn't so bad. Heh heh...
The only thing I did complete with flying colours was the resolution to save 5k in the bank. Does it make any difference or lessen my failure somewhat to say that not only did I do this once, but three times over? I have 15k saved up nicely. I'm rather proud of that. It's the only good thing that's come out of my job.
I spent the year waiting. It feels like a huge waste of time. Three things died on me this year. My grandfather, the old man I was taking care of, and my cat Ninja. There was a lot of death this year. Lots and lots of death...
2008 Resolutions:
* Get myself into better shape.
* Make a sizeable dent in my two epic fanfictions. Say, an extra 100k words each?
* Save 25k worth of money in my savings account.
* See Matthew again.
* Get married!!! ♥
* Move out and organize my own place.
* Go overseas for our honeymoon
* Get a new pet and take better care of it this time...
In short, this year was the very worst one of my life and I am so glad its over now.
