Rain

Work went very well today. The best it's been so far, actually. I hope this doesn't mean that it'll suck horribly tomorrow. All day long it poured with nonstop ceaseless rain. It was lovely, though I never enjoy getting wet, it rehydrated all of Sydney so that in a few days everything will turn into a vibrant, bright green.

Last night right after I got off the computer I got lonely, so I phoned Chris and made him come over after his work. I'm so demanding of people, it's like I always need everybody's constant attention. Anyway, we played the Belkan War and watched anime. It was great. Anything Ace Combat-related is fine by me. I love the game so much yet I can't barrel-roll properly and end up slamming into the sea. It's always amusing to watch the mission recap on the grid and see in the third person how messed up my flying style is.

Chris gets pissed at times because my flying is so bad that he can never get a proper missile lock on me. One of the upsides of flying like a chimpanzee, I guess.

Oh, I went out and bought the Dark Tower comic on Saturday, scanned it and sent a copy over to Matty. It only cost eight dollars for the comic book, but there in the store they had a special edition of the book signed by Stephen King himself. Eeeeeeee! I really wanted to buy it, but I didn't. I'm a King enthusiast, but it if bought it I'd be afraid to touch it and I wouldn't be able to read the wonderful story within.

Things will get good when John Farson comes into the picture. I just know it. There are six comics books yet to be released, and the next one deals with the Big Coffin Hunter gang. Depape, Roy and what's-his-face, the leader with the coffin tattoo on his hand. He's awesome, but why can't I remember his name? Mr. Silver Hair, that's what I'll call him.

The art is good, deeply coloured while still being overly dark and bleak. Just the way that the Dark Tower should be. I'd sell my soul to see the fields of Can-Ka' No Rey illustrated in the comic book, whether it be the real thing or just Patrick Danville's oil painting. I need to see it, dammit!

I have a confession to make. I wanted to see Can-Ka' No Rey so badly that I drew a picture of it myself. This picture shall never see the light of day again.  It was a travesty, nowhere near good enough to be worthy.

In my own writing I've done four pages of the fifteenth Turned On chapter. I'm kicking the rating back up to M again, and only a fraction of the chapter will be posted on ff.net. Dunno what I'll do with the uncut version.

You know, I think that the Rune/Kyra pairing in Turned On might merit some short stories of its own once the fic is done. I like leaving the formation of their relationship on the very edge of the frame so that it gives a little bit of variety to the main story pairing. Mostly I just think it's cute that Rune is trying to fill the void Alys left in his heart with another boomerang/slasher user. I wonder if they'll be together at the end of the fic? Who knows. I sure don't.

On the side of work, reading and writing I'm still playing PSU here and there. Of course I can't keep up with my friends who shoot through the ranks like crazed hyperactive Poltys, but I'm trying. What I'd like to do is earn all the buff technics for Adefirst and then assign them to a bunch of staffs, while still having enough room to access the normal technics. Then I can be of more use to people in combat. I'd also like to buy an advanced Megido technic if I can afford it.

Warren seems to have more friends than Adefirst, but Adefirst is stronger than him. In any case I've gotten familiar enough with De Ragan to solo it eventually. Once I gather enough scape dolls, that is...
