We're going to BOSTON this weekend...!!!! We're on the lists of special guests for Gaylaxicon (www.gaylaxicon.com)
Kyrene I'd like to see you if you've got a spare moment sometime. I'll know my schedule better on Friday...but I owe you a yummy lunch.
I'm excited, as much as I say I don't like travel, I think I secretly do. Once I get to my hotel, and get settled in, I'm fine. Yay. I'm also packing light. I've ALWAYS overpacked, so I must just pack *just* enough to make it through the weekend, at that's all. And maybe two books. That ALL. I bought two recently that I need to make it through...First Democracy (which is REALLY good, about how America's current democracy bears little resemblance to the Athenian experiment...which brings me to another point) and Elaine Pagel's The Gnostic Gospels. Risha from Hidden Frontier recommended it to me, and it's very intriguing. And after my discussions with the nice lady from Hidden Frontier Mrs. Solak, about Catholicism - it's strengths and failings, I've got a better understanding of who Catholics are. :) Our conversation spurred me on to research. I was going to type something like I'm after the truth, but where religion and faith are concerned it's more accurate to say I'm after information.
Other than that I'm excited, there's a nice article on Hidden Frontier published in one of the Boston papers...here's the link..
The Weekly Dig : Homo Frontier Let's see, I'm officially hooked on Smallville. I love it, I like Superman...and it's fun although a bit angsty at times.
That's all the news that's fit to print...
