I had a nice weekend this weekend as I got to see many of my favorite people. Thursday night I met up with my friend Jul and Sar for dinner at a Greek restaraunt which was nice. Friday night I met up with B at Chickie's and Pete's near where we both work, had some drinks and some food and caught up on some things from the busy summer. Later that night lothgar, shosh, and I tried to make a movie but couldn't, and instead watched some Who wants to be a superhero which we simultaneously like and hate. And some episodes of the Office as well. Love that show.
saturday we awoke early to get my dog groomed and spent the entire day selecting, planning and booking our next vacation. Then we went to a wedding that night. We were seated with a bunch of people from Pete's high school. It ranged from fun to talk to them to feeling uncomfortable at times which gave me and Pete the giggles. Chris (the groom) had an ipod as his dj and had some random indie music playing but it was fun. Their wedding was the quickest I'd ever seen but cool and fun. They did some very original stuff because they are not traditional in any sense. And hey Chris wrote his own speech for the best man and it was hilarious. We sat and talked to him for awhile about some new movies, music and such. It was a fun time though.
Sunday- went to go play softball with my old work people +b and + steve but it didn't work out so we all headed over to kildaire's for brunch and drinks. It was fun. Later, Pete and I went over to K of P and shopped for awhile which we never do as Pete hates it. I saw all these awesome tshirts I really wanted but didn't get. Then we went to johnnydestructo's store and hung out with him for over an hour and we selected some comics (well softcover anthology type books) for ourselves. We've always been interested and have read in the past but didn't know where to start now, and jd was helpful and plus we got to gossip for awhile which was always fun. It was funny because the one I saw the cover of (Strangers in Paradise) and thought I would like was the one jd suggested and even offered to buy me if I didn't buy it because he thought I'd like it, which was sweet.
Now we're home and we are going to watch our two favorite show's (entourage and deadwood) season finales. All three things we watch now will be over this week.
