Actually the counties that voted AGAINST the MCRI tended to be either poor and black or rich and white (like Okemos, which is dependent on MSU and the capitol). It was working-class white people whom the out-of-state MCRI folks targeted manipulated. Same as it was in California. Same as it always is when you talk about race. Nevermind the thorough fucking it's going to give white women.

Maybe it wasn't where it failed by county, but just where the most votes against were. Or maybe it was just Okemos, since the professor who said it lives there. The University belt region had the second lowest support for the MCRI, next to Wayne county.
