1800 miles and three days in

i can only be online briefly and the beans i ate yesterday are urgently vying for my attention, so i have to be quick.

we're 1800 miles into the trip; right now we're on the west end of new mexico, in a town called gallup. for the most part, the trip has been really great. i will, however, be making a "places that can suck my dick" list, which will include eureka louisiana, metro chicago, pretty much all of texas, tencumcka oklahoma, and pretty much all of texas.

apparently the first half of new mexico is all up hill-- or should i say up mountian? my sense of geography is off, i guess. i was unaware which state the rockies were in, but i sure as hell didnt expect em to be today. pretty, though.

the jumbo mumbo (our '92 toyota station wagon) doesnt do very well with hills, so driving up giant fucking mountians almost killed it.

the next three days are going to be nice and quiet- we only have to drive like 300 miles. grand canyon, petrified forest, and a number of other natural wonders await us. also, on friday the new bruce willis movie comes out.
is it fucked up that im more excited about seeing that than i am about seeing the grand canyon?
