I'm glad the lighter moments worked as well for you as the more somber scenes.

Yes, Reese and Finch like to tweak each other in their exchanges. Part of the power see-saw in their relationship.

I like the way you envision Danvers. Of course since the gender is purposeful obscured, Danvers could be a petite female truck driver too. Either way, he/she always dresses in black!

In my mind, Carter's mother definitely knew about the most recent miscarriage --maternal intuition-- which is why she engineered the distracting trip to AC and told of her own past history of miscarriages.

Carter and Finch are similar in many ways I think: advanced degrees in technically complicated fields, professionals in service careers, personal commitments to altruism, sardonic wits, prickly personalities, slow trust, suspicious but dogged once they give their hearts. Their similarities make for nice tension and therefore great dramatic potential. That is one of the things I wanted to get at here.
