Spelling and grammar are totally optional, amirite? I mean, what good is literacy, anyway?

Honestly, reading that post reminds me of half of the ads for guilds in trade chat.

Yeah, b/c no one on my server uses the LookingForGroup channel when they actually want a group (nor do they use the LFG feature). Besides, it's how my DK has made some sweet gold selling minor glyphs most inscriptionists didn't bother to grind/learn once the skill went green.

Of course this would never happen cause we of the U.S.A hould the red, white, and blue high in the air makeing us invencable

Can you say "magical thinking," children? I just KNEW you could say that...

Spelling and grammar fail aside, I'm amused by the implication here that the US is somehow different (and possibly more blessed,) than any other nation. The OP here probably subscribes to the myth that the American revolution was won by cunning settlers sniping at the evil British from behind every rock and tree. When in point of fact the nascent United States pretty much lost every serious stand-up fight with the British until Willhlem Friedrich von Steuben was able to train enough regiments that could actually fight the British on even terms.

But, Brock...everyone *knows* that we're the best cause we're American and GOD is on OUR side.

You know...that was almost painful to say.

Maybe if I wave the flag more? Build up those patriotic muscles?

Sometimes I do wonder though, if there are people overseas sitting and reading stuff like this in the wee hours before having to gear up to do whatever their assigned task is to do, shaking their heads and wishing that the people like the one quoted would just sit down, shut up, and stop being such a horrible example.

When I was in the service we had more than enough trouble with young soldiers who imagined themselves to be the next John Rambo.

After a while you figured out that the REALLY dangerous guys were the quiet ones back in the third rank that you'd never think to look at twice.

The civilians who learned everything they know about the military by reading Soldier of Fantasy Fortune we never had any time for.
