So I go on a hunt for a new mood theme, and end up with a new mood theme, a new journal layout, and profile layout. Ah ha ha ha ha. :F
So! Yesterday at school when I first sat down in Myth/Bible Lit, I overheard a girl in my class telling a friend about how some guy in one of the photography classes found a woman in one of his prints that he swears wasn't there when he took the picture. I assumed it was just an exaggerated rumor and didn't think much of it. But today during my Graphic Design class, my teacher turned to me and asked me if I'd heard about the "photography ghost". He showed me the print, and while I don't really believe in ghosts, this picture was really strange. It was a shot of the sidewalk lining the West Annex, which is a smaller building separate from the main building where all the art and a few health classes are located. Anyway, the picture showed that pathway, which you would walk down to get to the classrooms and at the corner of the pathway where it meets the double doors that lead to the art room and turns left, there was a woman in a nightgown just standing there, staring at the wall. I think it was the nightgown that really threw me off. It's not hard to imagine that the guy who took the picture simply could have been so focused on his primary subject that he didn't notice the woman in the background, but why would she be wearing a nightgown? Nobody at our school dresses like that. But I suppose there's also the possibility that this is just some dumb prank set up by that guy. Who knows, really. I told my mom about it, and we spent dinner discussing possible truths behind the matter. It was fun. XD My dad probably now thinks my mom and I are out of our minds, though. XD I enjoy ghost stories like this, even though I don't exactly believe them. I don't believe for certain that they're not true, either. I like to keep an open mind about these things. And thinking that they might be true is more fun than automatically dismissing them as nonsense.
This isn't the first time people have claimed to have seen or heard paranormal activity at our school, though I'm a lot more skeptical of those. For instance, there's one P.E. teacher who insists he once heard the footsteps of a ghost on the ceiling while he was alone in the boys' locker room. He says that he was certain he was the only one in the building at the time. Today my Graphic Design teacher sent that P.E. teacher a scan of the "haunted" photograph, and the P.E. teacher was all like "I knew it!" There's also the rumor that the ghost of a student who died in a fire here some years back haunts the school. I have yet to come across any sort of evidence for that one, though.
Moving the subject away from ghosts, I only have two days left until winter break, yay! But I still have a math test on Friday that I need to study for, so I can't let myself get too lazy yet. Plus over the break I have to go do the night shot assignment for Photography, and finish the write-up for that Psych experiment. So I'll be busy.
