And we're back to the Castlevania fusion. ...Seph's a vampire WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED?
Koarin lay fitfully asleep on the bed, tucked in a sheet and for all the world helpless to any assault. Not that his body wasn't already a battlefield of nips and bite marks and bruises-to-be, and around his neck was a stroked collar of dried blood purposefully placed. It would wash off with little resistance in water, but the magical effects were already at work, if not done.
Its creator was also already at work, up and about and dressed, with plans for the evening, for it was evening. If you're going to steal a bride just before dawn, you're going to have to spend a couple hours (or six) of daylight 'convincing' your new paramour that this was the best idea in the world.
It was also a nice change, being the one with the fangs for once. Years spent with Ko nibbling on him and now he gets the appeal. It's even quite pleasant, in a way. And knowing the vague premise of the game, Seph wasn't destined to beast out either. Which sat incredibly well with him.
But now he had a problem, and he frowned as he observed the very-and-almost-too-convenient viewing mirror. Because Seph should have stolen them both when he had taken Ko. And if he wanted to reach Ikki, the boy had to escape Gen's castle. Even with Zack now causing one hell of a distraction*, the boy wasn't going to make it on his own.
"Do you think you could help the boy out for me?"
A shadow in the closest corner shifted like a curtain.
"It's not like you have anything interesting to do in the meantime."
Death took a moment to break character. "You get another bride out of my help. What do I get besides some time outside the castle?"
Sephiroth barely gave it a thought. "You know what I could give you. It's practically written already."
Death's silence was real, and not apart of his role. Sephiroth narrowed his eyes through the mirror's reflection. "You need to either get over him or be a man and face it. As you are, you're not even half the person you used to be. Where's your dignity and pride gone, devil?"
The shadow in the shadow melted away without a word and it was a small victory for the vampire king. It wasn't about what Death would get out of this, now, and Ikarin was as good as his, how long it took be damned.
