We. We. We. We are. We are. We are. We are.

"We are coming."

Twenty minute preview of the Torchwood mini-arc on BBC on Demand. I gives you Things.

New doctor (not The Doctor; that's this Christmas), on the scene in the first two minutes. He will either be hired or dead, because you knew he'd get a little more spotlight than ordinary the moment you see him. I can't pronounce his name, and I don't want to know how to spell it (yet).

Gwen touched faded Tosh/Owen picture, awwww.

Jack is...a fucking retard. Argh. And Ianto is no better. Welsh boy, stop being shmoopy! And Jack, get a fucking clue. He's getting BUBBLY over things like "us" and "you two". Break up with him now or propose, but at least notice he's keening a little!

Oh if this was a straight couple, I'd probably be reacting differently. Except if a guy even said to his somewhat smitten woman lover, "I hate the word 'couple'," when that partner is trying to bat a fucking little CLUE into your obstinate brain...even I would say, "You are a DOUCHE!" D: Ianto should not be making those crushed faces. Because you know exactly what he's gone through for at least a hundred and forty years longer than he has.

CLUE BAT.

Gwen taking the lead in recruiting...okay. S'cool. The chipper sort of way she's doing it, um...darlin'. Something about that whole exchange felt a little askew and left something to be desired. And that was before she left Ianto and Jack alone for the aforementioned "I hate the word 'couple'" bit.

Now, the children. Now we all get little kid who stood behind while everyone else piled on in the beginning is the old man the showcase during the We Are Coming sequence. Got goosebumps, honest.

Ianto's little "Whoa" was love, though the blatant recording like she's a freak? Not the smartest choice of action. I can just hear the mother going, "What are you doing?!" And the doctorman is already in the thick of it. Gosh. He better be hired, if we got to hear Gwen giving the entire benefits package to him. Or not die a simple death. I'll want last words. Five will do.

They're also focusing on a new secretary. Either a little bit of human objectivity for the audience as an outsider looking in, BUT...I don't know. Ianto might be looking to fill in Tosh's seat, if the secretary gets involved with Torchwood.

All in all...is it more than a coincidence that the next set of novels to be released will be /after/ this airs? Like, the very DAY after episode five ends?

As in, 20th-24th, episodes. 25th, BOOKS.

No, not I don't think so. La.

EDIT: YOU BUGGERS. YER GETTING IT THIS WEEK. *HUFF* *watches Day One in full* BLOODY BRITS and your bloody...argh. *SITS*
