Magic, once upon a time ago~

I think....The Mirage block has always been my first choice for Magic cards. I fell in love with the Flanking ability, despite it's lack of a true use, as no knight ever goes over 3/3. But Ice Age? It's where I slid into the game; it gets special mentions.

Now, with Cold Snap, the final block in the Ice Age expansion, I've discovered a new love: the card Dark Depths. ...I'm sorry, but when a Land has the power to summon a black 20/20 (!!) flying creature that's indestructable......who wouldn't take advantage of it?

I was gonna build a Cold Snap Blue/White deck anyway. Though now, I have to set aside the theme of that one for this one. Lots of counterspells and protection spells, plus induced vigilence and unblockable (maybe even trample, but that's a Green mana thing. On the other hand, playing it with the black card Aether Snap....yeh, insta-winnar. Though it also requires having to protect the land itself, because both Roman and Lindsay have Land Destruction decks. I think I'll ask about anti-land destruction cards. Hoping for them to be in White or Blue.

Though honestly, Green pumps out Mana much faster than the other colors, and it takes 30 Mana to get Marit Lage out. But Aether Snap destroys counters AND tokens, so killing John's Squirrel-morphed-to-Dragon tokens would be simple as cheese.

8D But DUDE, I can keep Plowshares To Swords-ing it! Killing the creature that was is impossible! Because even if its removed from the game, it's Dark Depths itself that creates the creature! So protection of Dark Depths is emminent.

^_^ I feel good now. And it's relatively cheap!
