With a last, suffering groan, the metallic behemoth succomb to its grotesque wounds, toppling over and quaking the ground. It hit, rebound once, and settled, before its digital matter dissipated and returned to its rookie form.

The Chosen group could hardly breathe, adrenaline and panic of the extreme battle flaying their nerves. MechaRyuumemon had been unlike any Ultimate they faced before, with the strength of five Mega-level digimon in its make-up. Ryosei had said its Champion form was formidable, among the higher levels, but this...had been an unreal battle.

And its partner, the curiously strange being, acted far unlike Taichi had, with tears and trembling and begging sobs of forgiveness. Jasir merely shook his head, shaking off his daze, and looked around him. No surprise, no questions, nothing but soft indifference. Just like he had been when ordering MechaRyuumemon to destroy them. His resolve, however, came from ignoring the other children and stalking up to Ryosei, whom Yohji and Hayato now crowded around. "My apologies, Commander," he said, in quiet, curt tones. "I hope it wasn't too much of an inconvenience."

Ryosei faltered, uttering a noise, and then sighed. Jasir was Jasir, after all. "No," he lied. "No, it's okay. It wasn't too much of a deal."

Yohji squawked loudly, and there were coherent mutterings of 'yeah right' and 'say what?!' around them. It went purposely over Jasir's head; if Kitajima said it wasn't 'too much of a deal' then that's the official ruling. And Jasir accepted it, even when he knew otherwise.

A battered and bruised Oxinimon wasn't far behind, limping his way to his alien partner. His ego, however, took the biggest blow. Oxinimon as Ryuumemon was unstoppable. As MechaRyuumemon, he should have been invincible, and no amount of digimon of any level should've been able to defeat him. While he was grateful to be stopped from hurting his teammates, the result was like a deathblow. He stewed over the one question Jasir wouldn't ask, aloud or mentally: What went wrong?!

"What can you report?"

Jasir looked around again, eyes momentarily laying longer on Taichi before sweeping across every anxious face there was. "Am I correct to assume these are the comrads of Her generals?"

The collective shuddered. Ryosei nodded.

"Then I have both much, and little to say. Is there a place we can all rest around this area? It would be pointless to move on and explain my findings."
