You know what I hate?
Fancy-packaging DVD box sets. You can't put them on the shelf with the rest of your dvds; you have to have a special shelf or something. And I mean really--who decorates with DVDs? Who says, "Yes, I think this Family Guy Party Pack will look lovely next to Gran's urn." DVDs should have all the content extras and none of that other stuff.
In a related note, my storage space is empty and I am now in possession of everything I own. Where is it going to go? That's the next question. I have some novel ideas. I've said it before and I'll say it again: being friends with a carpenter is the best. We're talking about doing some really cool stuff. Even a solution to the GREAT BOOK DILEMMA. Goddammit I have a lot of books. That seems to be the one area I can't downsize.
You know what I really missed? My shower curtain (the outer, pretty one) and my headboard. (My headboard isn't actually a headboard; it's three garden trellises wired together. It is very pretty.) Now I FINALLY feel like I'm in my own space after all this time.
