Just stopping by lj, making sure i didn't tipsy-post last night. It looks like I'm in the clear. I went to a reading last night for the first time in a long, long time. I'm glad I did. A few years ago Jeff White said of the Newark reading 'it's like church. It's what you do on Tuesdays.' Last night I was thinking about how reading space is sacred space, how comforting the rituals enacted there are. Sometimes frustrating, to be sure. It IS like church. Inspiration and comfort. It's what we do.
