h-wha?

I usually make an effort to find the good elements in any film I see, even if I know its absolute crap. Alas, I jus was not able to do that with the film "Birth", (story of a little boy who tells a woman he's the reincarnation of her dead husband...hence pedafilia insues!). This story could have had soooo much potential, but intead it was slow, predictable and a complete waste of time. I havent felt this cheated out of my free movie tickets since I saw 'Phantoms' (DO NOT SEE!). Im rambling on b/c Nicole Kidman is nominated for a golden globe for her mediocre stale performance (sadly the main reason I went to go see it in the first place). I think people get scared when they honestly cant tell the difference between good and bad anymore...so instead they award confusion, thinking they can see something hidden that no one else can when in actuality there is nothing to see. Its like fucking Piccasso...so many people praise him b/c only others have praised him. (the one thing i cannot stand is when people call an up and coming artist 'the next Piccasso', when there is no fucking resemblence to either their techniques except that the spectator 'thinks' what there looking at is good.) Im not saying I hate Piccasso's work, Im saying I never liked where he was coming from as an artist (he intentionally tries to confuse people and makes them his pawns, instead of trying to find a connection between the idea and the audience) so there fore I never liked what he concluded with...I guess my point with this whole rant is just because something is art, dosent mean it's good...so why fucking praise it out of confusion?
