Yah, sort of laid of lj but its time for my comeback
My nephew: His name is Robbie. I like to think that my sis named him after me. He is so innocent and tiny. I've seen him about 3 times since he was born and I love him already.
Soccer: My team won our first tournament this season a few weeks ago which is pretty awesome seeing as how we we're playing in a pool that are a year older.
Friends from Japan: Are coming to live in Canada for 2 years! We are finding them a place to live and they are comming on the 10th of July.
School: Turns out I failed math!!! Amazing. I have never failed anything...ever. My mark is exactly the same which is really fucked up. I did all this extra work that my math teacher told me to do so I could pass. Here is a snippet of our conversation prior to the exam (which I actually felt confident coming out of for once)
Me: So if I do this extra work and get about a 70 or 60 on my exam, will I pass?
Mr. Watkins: I can definetely see that happening
I took "I can definetely see that happening" as a "yes". I'm going to hunt down Mr. Watkins and ask him what the details are because this really fucking sucks. I don't fail. Ever.
So I am signed up for summer school. Unfourtunately, I have the afternoon class so I won't be with Rebecca. B or Kaisa.
Although, if I do well in summer school then my average will go up so not all is lost.
What I have been doing so far this summer: Yard work. Mixing cement, hauling wheelbarrows full of rock and dirt. On top of regular yardwork (mowing the lawn).
Writing: I have had writer's block for a gazillion years. That is all.
Health: I was supposed to go for a blood test today but my mom and I had an appointment to look at an apartement for our japanese friends so I will go tomorrow. Oh yes, I am terrified. I am afraid of needles, I am queezy at the sight of blood, I am afraid of anything being poked or pierced through my skin or anyone elses. Anyway, my doc thinks I don't have enough iron in my blood so that's why I'm a little "tuned out" or "ADD-ish". Apparently I might have to go on an iron supplement of hormone regulator pill to stop this...otherwise I could become annemic(sp?) (aka fainting a lot)
Oh yes...I LOVE Memoirs of a Geisha! Jackie introduced it to me and I am addicted.
Cheers to you all!
