I survived my first home stay!
Four nights with a bucket bath, sleeping on a thin mattress on the floor and learning how to communicate effectively with minimal words.
There were also the funny things like me trying to wash dishes, having an aunt who watches tv with sunglasses on, and family time.
Yesterday we visited a hospital and met with a HIV support network. Despite all I've learned about HIV, I've never knowingly met a person who was HIV+ so that was pretty awesome. The people we met were so full of life. I was definitely inspired to live my life to the fullest no matter what happens.
This weekend I've got more processing and planning workshops and then I get a day off. That will be followed by a week of lectures and then our "units" begin.
Thailand is still awesome, btw.
