The uncomfortable truth about walls
Sometimes they yell at inappropriate times
Or poke you when you've been drinking
An elaborate conspiracy just for you
Walls like to hold things you'd rather throw away
They say you'll never be free of the things they can see
They ruin your nice sunday clothes.
And enjoy destroying an intimate moment at home
Walls remember faces you couldn't pick from a crowd
Screams you weren't around to hear
Sometimes if you look close enough
You can see tiny dents from ancient far flung furniture
