Venue

So the venue woes continue.

The theatre is way out. $4000 gets you a black box space with work lights. You have to bring in your own everything. So financially, not happening.

Then I follow the wonderful advise of alisandre and check out the awesome spaces in montgomery county.  Two of them were perfect.  Like more perfect then I could say.  So I call and I find out that every single MoCo space is booked for the entire monh of October because everybody wants to get married in 10/10.  I don't actually care about 10/10, I just want the gorgeous leaves.  Fall is my fave season and I want to get married in the fall.

So here is where I am looking now: www.cprockville.com/social-celebrations.php  They seem pretty nice.  The don't charge a room rental per say for the reception.  They do charge $250 to host the ceremony there.  The prices includes:
  • a cocktail hour
  • reception meal
  • minimum 3 hours open bar
  • wedding cake or my choice of other dessert
  • champagne toast
  • coffee & tea with dessert
  • soft drinks, dance floor
  • centerpieces
  • complimentary king room for the couple.
Then there are more expensive packages including other things like:
  • Bridal suite
  • Ice scuplture
  • Placecards
  • Chair covers and bows
I hadn't pictured getting married in a hotel, but this place might be nice.  If all of that is included for $63-$74 per person I am off to a good start.  I'll keep looking and I am still incredibly interested in hearing any ideas you may have, so please lay them on me.
