[Hei looks very unamused, his face pretty much blank of any emotion as Li's usual cheerful demeanor is gone now that his Contractor persona has mostly taken control of the situation. The Captain wants them all as dead as a doorknob, so it's time to take this as seriously as possible. What's mostly interesting to those who know him is that he's ( Read more... )

[ Sasuke notes some of the changes, and greets Hei with a very serious face of his own. ]

What prompts you to say that?

I'm sure you remember when the bots were going around throwing a bunch of us into the cells, correct? I was thrown into Cell One for sneaking out at night. While there I kept hearing beetles swarming on the floor, yet whenever I turned on the lights they weren't anywhere to be seen. I did find a message carved on the floor, though. It read, "it's on lvl 3."

I've been looking for a Level 3 ever since.

Cryptic, but more useful than anything I was left with after that week.

[ Sasuke frowns. Really, it doesn't make sense. ]

Going by numbers alone, we haven't seen seven levels, and three levels are collapsed into the Enviro-Dome alone. New levels haven't opened for weeks.

[ a quiet moment. ]

There's likely a bridge, but it's possible we're misinformed number-wise, and there are no levels below Eight.

This entire ship is nothing but cryptic.

[Silence for a moment as Sasuke speaks. Hei's expression just stays the same.]

There must be lower levels than eight for sure. We just can't access them yet for a reason only the Captain knows. If he doesn't know, then no one knows. If we survive long enough on this ship we'll just have to find out on our own where level three is once the ship wants us to.

The levels themselves just seem to keep appearing. It's almost like the ship itself wants us to find them ever so slowly.

[ The more Sasuke speaks with Hei, the more his expression is likely going to come to mirroring Hei's, intentionally or not. ]

The waiting game we've been playing continues, with new stakes. The rate at which Level Twenty-Two becomes entirely uninhabitable would be a starting point for time guesstimates for the rest.

[ However, Sasuke feels this topic, while meriting further exploration, is in itself still circular. We can theorize, but we must wait. ]

The usual entranceways to the Enviro-dome have sealed off again. I don't think we're going to have an exact duplication of the last time that happened, but if there's a way in and out it's likely something new.

Have you noted any changes to the transport pads? [ it's a thin hope, but a possible one. ] One's particularly off the normal pathways.

[ He asks since he surmises Hei might actually know the area as well as he does. Sasuke knew it would be easier to locate an alternate means of entering and exiting his current prison if that means were put into use. ]
