Well well well...since my last update, I've been pretty darn good. I had exhausting days at work - the highlight of all the work was Friday. I woke up at my house at 7:45, thinking I had to be at work at 8. So I'm rushing like a banshee to work, then I get there, see the line out the door (OMG!) and clock in, start taking orders with my sunglasses on. Heh...fun. Of course, 10 minutes later, after we get somewhat of a slow period (it picked up three seconds later), I found out I was actually really early. Sweet! Extra time! And I didn't even know it! I bet I hit OT this week. After work on Friday, I took off my apron, rejoiced with Megan, and thanked God it was Friday...that gave me an idea, and so I took Meg to Friday's for dinner!! Mmm. Steak. hehe...after that, it was time for me to go read for Jack, the Lector Coordinator at church. It went quite well. After that, Megan and I headed back to her house and watched some TV - until 3 A.M....hehe...so much fun.
Backtrack a little to Thursday - sometime during the night, one of our regulars, Marygrace, tried to help me make a drink she ordered some time ago. What I ended up with tasted like Strawberry Jell-o...I liked it...but...nobody else did...apparently I didn't make it right...but...I liked it...anyways, after that, I went to Meg's house to see how her mom faired with Bunko night. We caught everybody going out the door. Joyce, Meg, and I went inside, chatted with Mrs. Duke a bit, had Cheesecake and Coffee, then Joyce had to go home. I stayed at Meg's...until 3 A.M. :-)
Fast forward to Saturday morning. HAIRCUT!!! I feel...lighter. hehe...then it was meet up with Megan at Creekwalk time...then we...WENT TO THE FAIR!!!! YAAAAAYYY! Our first stop was the AUTO SHOW...oh, how I love the auto show. It's the one time a year I can go see and sit in bright, shiny new cars I'll never be able to have and not be hassled by a sales person. We went to the Music Tribute at State Hall where they documented the lives of Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, and The Beatles. That was intriguing and fun!! We decided we were hungry after that and got world famous Fletcher's Corny Dogs. Tasty! Then we went to find the Ferris Wheel, and Meg got some Cotton Candy on the way. We got placed in a car with two 9 year olds...which was...awkward. One of them kept trying to shake the car and his brother and us kept trying to stop him. It was a beautiful day though, and despite the horsing arounds of two nine year olds, the ride was beautifully fun! Upon exiting the Wheel, we walked around a bit more, looking for things to spend our last tickets on. While we were doing that, we came across the Pitching Midway game...where they clock your pitches and see if you can get a strike. Meg made me, even though I didn't want to spend her money (I didn't have any cash)...and I got a (pitiful) 47 mph...but a direct strike!! But...I didn't get anything. *frown*
I let Megan decide what to spend the last tickets on, since they were her tickets. She decided on another State Fair necessity - Funnel Cake!!! Awesome. So a funnel cake and a powdered sugar fight later, we went back through the auto show one last time (because I was on a run to pick up as many brochures as I could) then headed back to my house so we could grill up some hot dogs and watch the 'Stros against the Sox. We had some time though, so we watched the episode of Walker, Texas Ranger that my dad appeared in, then a little bit of Bishop Lynch's Grease! Ah, the memories. Then I got the Dogs goin', and we sat and watched the whole game. Unfortunately, the 'Stros lost, and I was sad. So were a bunch of other Texans. We watched some TV afterwards (IRON CHEF! BATTLE CRAWFISH!).
Then yesterday (Sunday if no one's keeping track) I went to church, bought Megan a surprise lunch, then went with my parents to the new Firewheel mall...which looks pretty, but it'll be better when it's completely done. They're missing a LOT of things. Especially JC Penny's. We tried Foley's (because we were looking for a blazer for me) but we got assaulted by sales people from everywhere!!! It was worse than a car dealership! So we got out of there quickly, and headed back to Collin Creek Mall and that Penny's, got a blazer and headed home. We watched the Cowboys completely throw out the game against the Seahawks in the last minute and a half. Then we watched the 'Stros fight valiantly against the Sox...but only to lose in the bottom of the ninth. That brings me to today, and about to go to class and then work. Accounting test tomorrow night, GOD HELP ME!!! See you later guys!
