Chinen was asked by Nakajima to be his fake girlfriend just to make the girl he likes jealous and make her notice him, but what if things go against the plan, is she willing to ignore her own feelings just to keep up their friendship or is she willing to risks their friendship just to own his heart?
Warning: Chinen and Yamada are both girls in the story.
Chapter 3
Chinen went back to their classroom just in time before their class starts, so she quickly went to her seat just not to be scold, Nakajima on the other hand wonder what took Chinen so long for all he could have known Chinen is always on time on everything, he was about to asked Chinen but he thought he should save it after class.
Class ended early that day, everyone quickly went out as soon the bell rung but Chinen wasn’t aware of the fact that everyone already left except for her and Nakajima for she was spacing out, she still can’t get over with the incident that happen earlier that day. Nakajima who just finished packing his bag try to call her attention but it’s no use so he went in front of her desk.
“Yuri~” wave his hand to caught her attention and it did.
“E-eh? Yutti?” she said as she realize the person stand before her, she then look around quite confuse why there isn’t anyone in the room.
“Where’s everyone?” she asked to the lanky boy while looking at each desk if her classmates’ bags are still there but there was none. Nakajima just sigh and thought of a reason why his friend is acting this way until..
“Yuri..” he paused and lean forward, lifting Chinen’s chin with his right hand and softly caress with his thumb the edge of her left lips which surprise Chinen with his sudden action, Nakajima is leaning so close to her and the sudden ouch she just felt still quite lingers making her heart beat fast.
‘Eh?Chotto matte! What is he doing? I-is he trying to ki-‘ her thoughts was cut off when Nakajima said.
“..what happens to this?” he asked caressing it one more time which made her pull away from Nakajima, she press the part where he touched and she flinched as she felt a slight tint of pain, she took out her small mirror to see and there she found a small bruise near her lips and then she recall the incident that she was slapped.
“Ano..Kore..i-i..” Chinen bit her lower lip as she think of reason, she doesn’t want Nakajima to know about the incident and worry for her.
“..It was cause by a book..” she lower her head as she lied to her friend hoping he would buy it.
“..A book? But weren’t you asked to bring the home works to the faculty room right? So when did that happen?” Nakajima asked as he find it kinda suspicious because Chinen doesn’t have a book with her when she went to the faculty room.
“..ano..after..bringing the homework. Sensei asked me to look for a certain book in the library and when I took it from the top shelf the book next to it fell and hit me..” she said trying to convince the lanky boy with her reason while still facing down, she just heard the latter sigh.
“You should be careful next time, you know you easily get bruise from just hitting something hard, ok?” he pats her head which made Chinen lift her head to look at Nakajima who looks at her with worried eyes, she then felt guilty for lying to him.
And just like what they used to do Nakajima walk Chinen home but they never said a word to each other after they left the school grounds, Chinen’s thought was preoccupied not with incident that happen with the girls but instead with what happen with Nakajima.
She really thought that she was about to be kissed by Nakajima with the actions he just shown but he didn’t which she felt really embarrassed and somehow felt a bit shy that made her wonders why, they used to be really close to each other and clingy which other students find them as couple but it didn’t bothers her at all.
“..Since when did I get conscious of Yutti?” she asked to herself, yes it true lately she can’t help but be aware of Nakajima and this bothers her the most. That thought lingers to her mind that she never realize that she was walking pass their house’s gate.
“Yuri?” Nakajima said calling the attention of Chinen who was filled with her thoughts, and somehow hearing her name called by Nakajima made her snapped back to reality that made her realize that she already pass the entrance of her own house.
“..Eh? Why am I already here?” she mumbled, as she measure the distance of where there is and where she stands, she then slowly walk back to in front of their gate.
“You were spacing out.. are you sure that you’re ok?” Nakajima asked, reaching out his hand and land it to the latter’s forehead and with just a touch from Nakajima’s palm it made her blushed.
“H-hai..daijoubu” she then step back, releasing her forehead from Nakajima’s hand which made the lanky boy jolted in surprise. “Ok then, you better go inside and rest you must be just tired, ok?” and with what Nakajima said Chinen just nodded and bid him goodbye, he smiled faintly and left.
That night as Chinen was lying at her bed she still can’t understand why she is being conscious of Nakajima and she don’t know why the incident with Nakajima keeps repeating in her mind, she then remembered about the bruise near her lips and when she touched it somehow she still can feel the warm of Nakajima’s thumb so as his palm on her forehead and for unknown reason this made her a bit happy.
Morning came and Chinen and Nakajima arrived quite early than usual, they were changing with their indoor shoes when someone greeted Chinen.
“Ohayou, Chii-chan” as she heard the voice she already knew who it was from, she turn to see Yamada Ryo(Ryosuke*) the girl who saved her from the bullies and the one that Nakajima have a huge crush on.
“Ohayou, Yamada-san” she greeted back, Nakajima on the other hand just watch Chinen greeting the popular girl just next to their class and when Yamada already left Nakajima started to ask Chinen with a bunch of questions.
“Yuri, since when did you and Yamada knew each other? How did you know each other? How long have you known each other?” Nakajima kept asking her loudly it the entrance of the school building which somehow made the squirrel annoyed by non-stop questioning.
“Ok, ok I’ll tell you just quite down ok, you don’t want to blow our act and screw your chance, right?” Chinen softly said not wanting to be heard by other students around them.
“But I won’t tell you here, let’s talk about it later” Chinen continued.
“Ok” Nakajima agreed.
Walking to their classroom Chinen thought of a better answer to Nakajima. She just can’t tell him that Yamada coincidentally saved her from some bullies that was the cause of the bruise near her lips, she shouldn’t because it’ll just trouble Nakajima and her as well and she have to find a way to tell Yamada about hiding the fact about their encounter.
“So you met Yamada at the library when the teacher asked you to get something” Nakajima repeated, as what he just has heard from the squirrel, Chinen.
“U-un..she came up to me when she heard a book fell on the floor” Chinen said with her head down, once again she lied to her friend and she hates it lying to Nakajima for they knew each other for such a long time already and not telling Nakajima about this is something she never thought she would do especially to Nakajima.
“Gomen…for not telling you yesterday, I forgot” Chinen apologize, though the real reason for asking for Nakajima’s apology was for lying to him but of course he don’t know about it and thought of it as an apology for forgetting.
“Daijoubu” he said. While the class is still going on Chinen thinks of a way to make process of their main plan since meeting Yamada coincidentally is a not planned but still a great help, Chinen thought that maybe she’ll have to start with the process during their lunch as she thought of this as a big opportunity for Nakajima.
A/N: Sorry for the late update though I said I would update the story soon but in the end I got caught up with the 'Summer Laziness'
I'm really sorry because I'm not really fast with updating the story because I'm more of an reader than a writer
but I'll make it up to you for next chapter..
And about the fic, Yamada already made her appearance in the previous chapter coincidentally meeting Chinen.
In this chapter Chinen realize that she is conscious of Yuto and after telling Yuto she made acquaintance with Yamada
she thought of a plan to make progress to their plan.
