Sometimes I need a little reminder
One of the many things I've struggled with for all of my art life is whats an artist supposed to do and whats an artist not supposed to do?
Pretty obvious: there are no set rules for artists.
Some sculpt, some draw, some fling paint on canvases, some pick up things and turn it into something else, some render beautiful people, some scribble crazy lines.
Art isn't about how to do something, its how you express yourself.
I often forget this and hide things I draw because I feel they're "not right" or I need to show off something finished or nothing at all. Tres stifling, tres stifling.
So today, because I've remembered these things, I bring to you what I've been cranking out lately. Nothing OMGSOBEAUTIFUL. Just doodles in ball point pen on lined notebook paper. There is absolutely wrong with using these mediums~
I'd like to post these in a particular order but thats not happening tonight :|
And for anyone coming across this journal who may encounter the same problems. If you really want to show your stuff, just do it. Don't be scared. There really isn't anything to fear about it.
