LOL on Will's thinking and Jack's probably very insulted response--I think it's okay if he calls himself old Jack, but for someone else to do so and especially such a puppy as Will...back to chuckling to myself.

And here was damage I'm sure, but seems like theirs was strong enough a relationship and Norrington was such a stawart gentleman, it paved the way to the reconciliation at the end. I think would have been within the realm of possibility--much like the delightful slash I've read about Jack and Norrington finding a "close" friendship. Such wonderfully intriguing human puzzles we can be. So many many twisty ways to get where we desire to be.... life is very good in that regard, the realm of possibility. As for me I adore your Harry and her pirate---your Letty and always your spicy, feisty Lizzie Pirate Mistress has the closest to what my heart would write if it could when she wrote about the marriage of Will and Lizzie, with a side of marrying Jack as well. (Always my preference was the three being together forever. Was joyous to learn of matelots.) Thank you kindly for your read and write.
