I mixed a tape today, mainly because Dennis's car doesn't have a cd player and his shitty tape player won't play the tape for the adapter majigger. Fuckin Cadillacs. Now my Walkman's dying. Anyway, I always name cds or tapes I mix after what I have on them. So this one is named "Mars Voltoolstein's Slave 5000 Was Saved From The Ballroom Disturbace By A Hero W/ Cicatraz ESP in Apartment 26." Any guesses what's on it?
Has anyone else ever heard of The Mars Volta? I heard it a thousand times at Rocky J's and last time actually went up to the juke box to see what it was. Then yesterday, Dennis wanted to apply to Circuit City (to work with me of course), and since he took forever to fill out the online application, I went and looked at cd's. It was between this and this awesome 80's cd, but this was ten bucks as opposed to ninteen. Then I looked at computers where this incredibly hot product specialist struck up a conversation with me (note: this will be mentioned later). Funny thing is, some guy used the same line to start talking to me while I was up in San Francisco outside this gallery place ("Have you ever been to Dodge City?"). The difference was Nate is cute; not only was he cute, he was interested in me. Halfway through the conversation he asked me out to dinner. This is amazing because it wasn't let's go get drunk or yeah, I'll call you sometime. Also, he asked in the MIDDLE of the conversation; after I told him I was dating someone, he still talked to me, and not just polite small talk either. This guy is great. And I"m working on getting a fake ID finally. Twenty five dollars and I'll be twenty one at least.
I had my second interview at Circuit City today. I think it went very well. I swear though, after each interview, they send a sales associate or some other employee to go talk to the interviewee. After the first interview, some guy from car stereos started talking to me ("Oh you just had an interview? That's cool. Why do you want to work here?"). Then yesterday, Nate starts talking to me about my applying and my interviews. Today, the guy who originally told me to apply came up to me and started asking me if I thought I'd be able to work there and if I'd be comfortable and whatnot. Little did I know when I talked to him at IHOP that he was a manager over there. So I've got Curtis, Nate, and Frank putting in a good word for me; Matt, the first manager I interviewed with, recommended me; Darryl, the store director, interviewed me today and seemed impressed. Not to mention, they'll be hiring seasonal employees soon. I think I might get the job. I hope I do. It'd be great, I could play with all the new cameras or computers or listen to music all day. Worse comes to worst, I get to stand at the register all day and watch Nate's cute little ass across the aisle in computers. I really WANT that job.
